Binomial theorem（二項式定理）的意思是，例如，

(x+y)^4 = x^4 + 4 x^3 y + 6 x^2 y^2 + 4 x y^3 + y^4

$(x+y)^4 = x^4 + 4 x^3y + 6 x^2 y^2 + 4 x y^3 + y^4$

那些係數（1, 4, 6, 4, 1），為什麼會剛巧等如（4C0, 4C1, 4C2, 4C3, 4C4）呢？

${n \choose r} = C^n_r$

$(x+y)^4 = {4 \choose 0} x^4 + {4 \choose 1}x^3y + {4 \choose 2} x^2 y^2 + {4 \choose 3}x y^3 + {4 \choose 4} y^4$

其實，你毋須透過任何複雜的運算（例如「數學歸納法」），而單靠簡單的思考推理，都可以嚴謹推導得到，只要你對「二項式定理」和「nCr」的 physical meaning（實質意義）足夠了解便行。
