這段改編自 2010 年 4 月 10 日的對話。
有時，「副作用」的作用，比「正作用」的作用還要大。我戲稱這個現象為「The non-side-effect-ness of side-effects」（重點副作用）。
例如，中三以上的高深數學，一般人在長大後，很少會直接用到。但是，由研習數學所煉成的精密思考，卻一生受用。「精密思考」是工作和日常生活的必須品，雖然「高深數學」不是。
想訓練「精密思考」，沒有比「研習數學」更好的方法，幾乎。
