「還清債務」的方法很簡單：只要從來不借錢便行。除了要買樓宇物業、讀大學 和 醫治急病 外，我想像不到，一般人還有什麼情況需要借錢。
而「從不借錢」的方法亦很簡單：只要從來不用信用卡借錢買東西便行。上網買東西時，如果沒有其他的付款方法，我就會用信用卡。但是，除此之外，我從來也是用現金。用現金有至少兩個好處。
第一，如果買太多或太貴的東西，你拿現金出來時，自然會有心疼的感覺。那樣，腦中的自我保護機制會自動啟動，防止自己浪費更多的金錢。相反，用信用卡的話，商品的價格只是一堆抽象的數字，只經左腦，不經右腦。你不會對那堆數字所對應的財產有具體的感覺。那樣，腦中的自我保護機制會自動失效。你會有系統地令自己浪費更多的金錢。
第二，現金不是借錢。我的現金是我自己現有的財產，而不是借回來的。所以，我財政的最壞情況是零，而不會是負數。
即使上網買東西時要用信用卡，我也會保證，我的銀行戶口有至少同等份量的金錢。那樣，我就只是「用信用卡買東西」，而不是「用信用卡借錢買東西」。

這個世界有很多所謂的「大問題」，其實解決的方法可以很簡單。有時，甚至簡單到只有一步。但是，大部分地球人的腦部，偏偏接受不到一些太簡單容易的事情，硬要庸人自擾，建構很多複雜的大系統，去解決那些本來一步就能解決的問題。
例如，我認為瘦身公司的存在是必須的。但是我不明白，一個城市為何要有那麼多間的瘦身公司。要身材苗條，主要的方法很簡單：只要保持卡路里的吸收，少於卡路里的消耗便行。一方面，不要吃多餘的食物；另一方面，要做適量適當的運動。
又例如，我認為財務公司的存在是必須的。但是我不明白，一個城市為何要有那麼多間的財務公司。要財政健康，主要的方法很簡單：只要保持支出少於收入便行。一方面，不要買多餘的東西；另一方面，要增加收入的來源。
當然，簡單不代表容易。「簡不簡單」取決於步驟的多少。「容不容易」取決於每一步執行的難度。如果發覺事情簡單而不容易，就應該想辦法減輕每一步難度，而不是增加多餘的步驟，複雜化問題。
